Meet the Support Group Leader(s)

My Story:

I was diagnosed in 2015 after many years of suffering with painful periods. It occured to me that I might have endometriosis when I discovered an online support group and recognised so many of the symptoms, and I asked my doctor to refer me to a gynaecologist. I was diagnosed with stage IV that April and have since had six operations to keep the condition under control, including a hysterectomy and two ovarian suspensions. Having suffered with this condition so long I now want to be part of a group that gives women a voice and a safe place to share their feelings about endometriosis and their lives.

About the support group:

We are a new support group and the next session is taking place at the Ark Village Hall B75 5EH on Wednesday 8th May. Please register your interest to receive emails with further information on the group and our sessions.

We are planinng to cover the following this year:

  • Visit from a gynaecologist
  • Advice on exercise and diet
  • Pain management
  • Fertility

A specialist nurse is in attendance at all of our sessions too! Follow me on Instagram: endometriosis.suttoncoldfield
