Confidentially is an important aspect of the service our nurse team deliver. Here at Endometriosis UK, we have a responsibility to ensure individual accessing our support line can trust us. Information disclosed through the helpline to our nurse support team will be treated in strict confidence. The team will respect your right to privacy in all aspects of the support you receive from our nurses. You can review Endometriosis UK Privacy Policy here.
The nurses may discuss topics raised within the nurse support team, but personal identifiable data will be kept to a minimum. We may ask for your permission to share your information with the wider volunteer support team if we feel you may benefit from further support from those services - we would not go ahead and do this unless you gave explicit consent.
It’s important to make you aware the team are bound by a professional registration to the Nursing and Midwifery council. By law, in exceptional circumstances, the team will share necessary information to other agencies and other health care professionals along with the senior management team within endometriosis UK. Confidentiality will be overridden in the interest of person safety and public protection; our team will use their clinical expertise in situation such as;

If we believe an individuvial is at risk of series harm, either from themselves or others.

If we receive a court order requiring us to share information we have received.
