Celebrating Endometriosis UK Volunteers during National Volunteers' Week!

Volunteers’ Week is an annual event that takes place on 1-7th June. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK.

We want to take this excellent opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers for the amazing work they do in supporting both Endometriosis UK and those affected by endometriosis.

Quite simply, without the commitment and support of our volunteers, we would not be able to provide the services which that are so essential in supporting women with endometriosis. Our helpline, support groups, online support groups and forums are all run by our volunteers, all of whom have first-hand experience of endometriosis. We are also supported by a small team of office volunteers who help us to ensure things in our head office in London run smoothly!

Our Support Network Manager, Emma Bray, says

Our volunteers are an amazing bunch of people and I can’t say thank you enough for all of the hard work and dedication they give to their roles. I am always amazed by how much they go above and beyond in their roles as volunteers to help those with endometriosis. We know our support services have helped and supported so many women and their partners, friends and families and it’s down to these wonderful volunteers that we are able to reach so many of them.”

We spoke to some of our volunteers and asked them to share what they enjoy about volunteering with Endometriosis UK.
