Endometriosis UK is delighted to announce the latest organisations to join our Endometriosis Friendly Employer (EFE) scheme:
- The University of Manchester, one of the UK's largest universities, with more than 13,000 staff
- ScotRail, the operator of rail services across Scotland
- NHS Western Isles, the health board for Scotland's Western Isles
- Somers Town Community Association, a charity based in Camden (North London) offering various opportunities, events, and services in its local area.
- Metro Charity, a provider of health, community and youth services across London and the South East of England
- Park Vet Group, a veterinary practice with four surgeries in Leicester
- Brentknoll Veterinary Centre, which is based in Worcester
These employers have signalled their intention to improve support for those with endometriosis in their workforce, as well as breaking down taboos and stigmas around menstrual health.
As part of the scheme, the employers appoint Endometriosis Champions, who will receive training from Endometriosis UK, to enable them to provide support and information to colleagues.
Everyone at Endometriosis is delighted to welcome these three employers to the diverse range of organisations which are tackling taboos around menstrual health and endometriosis through the Endometriosis Friendly Employer scheme.
