Tell us about yourself. What’s your profession and hobby?
I am a private client investment manager, formerly a Director at Lehman Brothers and then Kleinwort Benson. In 2004 I established my own investment management firm – and we celebrated our ten year anniversary recently with a party for clients and business associates.
My hobby, or rather passion, is ballet; I attend classes whenever I can and I love going to watch the big productions like Swan Lake or Romeo & Juliet, or anything modern.
You have a really busy life, and on top of that you’re involved in charity work. How do you manage to find time to be a trustee?
It is immensely important to me to be involved in charity work. In the past I have volunteered with special needs children (Kensington & Chelsea Mencap), and it is a matter of prioritising commitments and making the time for such activities.
What do you enjoy about volunteering as a trustee?
I enjoy the great camaraderie we have on the Board of Trustees and the shared commitment we all have to the aims of the charity. Having been a sufferer myself, and having benefitted from membership of the charity, it is a huge privilege to now be able to give back in some small way.
How would you like to support Endometriosis UK going forward?
Having recently joined the Board I am greatly looking forward to the journey! I hope that my personal experience of endometriosis together with my business knowledge can help in the further development of the charity.
