Endometriosis UK is delighted to announce an award from Big Lottery via Awards for All Wales.
The award will fund our advocacy project providing women with one to one support.
"I'm delighted that Endometriosis UK will be working in partnership with Big Lottery via Awards for All Wales. We aim to secure improved life chances and opportunities for women with endometriosis through our amazing volunteer network, enabling women to lead healthier and more active lives. This award will fund ground-breaking new work, supporting women coping with employment and benefits issues in addition to the day-to-day challenges of living with endometriosis." - says Jane Hudson Jones, Endometriosis UK Chief Executive.
Gareth Williams, Awards for All Programme Manager for the Big Lottery Fund in Wales, says: “Awards for All is having a positive impact throughout Wales. Money is helping to establish groups, societies and clubs, promoting learning, increasing volunteering opportunities and helping to build stronger communities.”
Vera Shroeter, an endometriosis patient based in Wales and a Group Leader for Endometriosis UK Cardiff Support Group says: “Having easier access to information through an advocacy service in Wales would undoubtedly improve not only the lives of women living with endometriosis, but also those of their families. It is a great opportunity to support women with endometriosis in improving their quality of life, and I look forward to the commencement of this project in Wales."
We look forward to working in partnership with Big Lottery.
