Grant-making organisations and philanthropic giving
Income from trusts, foundations and philanthropic giving is playing an increasingly important role in helping Endometriosis UK grow, innovate and respond to the evolving needs of those affected by endometriosis. We are committed to and investing in developing these partnerships further over the coming years.
Many smaller trusts have supported us for a number of years, providing vital funding and stability, while larger grants have enabled us to develop new services and areas of work.
Our grant-making partners have funded research partnerships, expanded our information resources, and funded specialist support that complement our volunteer-led support services. Some partners choose to support a specific project or area of work, such as a recent National Lottery Community Fund Young Start grant, which has helped launch our youth engagement work in Scotland. We have also been fortunate to receive significant unrestricted grants and donations, including through anonymous Donor Advised Funds. This flexible funding allows us to direct resources where they are needed most.
However they choose to give, our philanthropic partners help ensure that all those with endometriosis or suspected endometriosis can access better information, understanding and support, while strengthening our work to improve diagnosis, treatment and care.
Now is a genuinely exciting time to back change for those with endometriosis. The renewed Women’s Health Strategy has placed faster diagnosis, better menstrual health education and women’s voices firmly on the national agenda. Endometriosis UK is at the centre of growing public awareness and momentum, working to ensure that the experiences of those affected shape policy, care and support and public understanding. Investment now can help us turn this attention into lasting, practical change.
