Louise's Story

“I began to seek medical attention for my symptoms when I was 18 years old - I wasn't aware of endometriosis and was consistently told that 'some women's periods are just painful'.”

Louise's story

Halle's Story

“We deserve to be believed, we deserve better research, and we deserve faster diagnosis. Endometriosis is not “just a bad period,” and speaking about it is how change begins.”

Saverra's Story

"I followed doctors’ advice, took prescribed medications, but they never worked. The only reason I was referred for laparoscopic surgery was because I mentioned I wanted to have a child. My pain alone wasn’t enough to be taken seriously."

Lisa's Story

"Endometriosis has shaped my education, my working life, my relationships, and my mental wellbeing. It has required resilience I never expected to need - not just to live with the condition, but to access care for it."

Lisa's Story

Taya's Story

"I realised that it wasn't normal to need a week off school every month for my cramps. None of my friends experienced this and I couldn't understand why I did. This sparked an urge to research myself. I began to look up my symptoms and eventually found endometriosis. It all began to make sense."

Catherine's Story

"Looking back, the advice I would now give my teenage self is to really trust in your own experience more, and be braver to talk about it and to say this isn't right. I need help."

Emma's Story

"I felt like I was battling something that no one really knew about, and I myself didn't really know."

Zainab's Story

"Pain is not a rite of passage. So if it's impacting your daily life, your studies, that's not normal. And you have every right to advocate for yourself and to seek answers."

Zainab

Kate's Story

“I hope to share my story in the hope that other people experiencing similar symptoms will feel less alone, and to raise awareness of the urgent need for better understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of endometriosis.”

Gabriella's Story

"I’m sharing this because I believe that storytelling matters. Every workplace - every team - is made up of people carrying stories you may never know. By opening up, I hope to create space for others who may feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported in their own experiences."
