St Albans Group

My name is Jo and I run the St Albans Endometriosis Support Group. Since my second laparoscopy I have tried to channel my energy into something positive. The first step for me was joining Endometriosis UK as a member. I attended the Information Day & AGM in October 2008 and for the first time met other women suffering with the same condition – women who know what it is and how it affects all aspects of your life.

Following on from the Information Day, I set up a local support group. The Group is open to those from St Albans and the surrounding areas, including Harpenden, Watford, Radlett, Hemel Hempstead, etc.

I would like to help others in my position to find some support locally. By talking with others who have endo, I have learnt lots more about the condition, like the best way to use painkillers or alternatives to manage the symptoms.

Meetings are usually held in the Postgrad Centre at St Albans City Hospital. The Postgrad Centre is on the 2nd Floor of the Moynihan Wing. See map here Partners and/or friends/family are welcome to come with you to meetings.
