Hi, my name is Emma Armitt and I am the Bolton support group leader.
I decided to start a group in Bolton while suffering from endo because I couldn't find any support groups near where I live.
I've never been involved with any particular charity before but this one has become very close to my heart.
I've suffered with endo from a young age...12 to be precise. I, like many women, have been misdiagnosed and have felt forgotten and alone.
When I found the Endometriosis UK page on Facebook my outlook changed. I met people I could talk to, who offered support and a kind ear. In turn they allowed me the chance to return the favour.
After getting so much from the charity website and its members I decided that I wanted something positive to come from this experience and give something back. So here we are...and we'll be here as long as you need us!
