Juneau Biosciences -

Genetic Endometriosis Research Study

Surgically diagnosed with endometriosis? You may qualify to participate in new research to identify genes responsible for endometriosis. Juneau Biosciences is currently searching for qualified participants for a study to identify the genes responsible for endometriosis.

If your endometriosis has been diagnosed, confirmed, or treated with surgery, please consider participating in this important study. Even women who no longer experience symptoms due to menopause or a hysterectomy are qualified to participate, provided that they were diagnosed previously.

Participation is safe, easy, and can be completed in just a few minutes from your own home.  If you choose to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete three simple tasks:

  • Complete a brief health history questionnaire

  • Submit a DNA sample in saliva form

  • Grant permission to review surgical records confirming diagnosis

The Genetic Endometriosis Research Study is being conducted by Juneau Biosciences, a Utah-based company that is working to identify the genetic variations that predispose women to endometriosis. Juneau’s researchers are optimistic that the discoveries made through this study will lead to improved diagnostic and treatment options for women with endometriosis.

To enroll, or to learn more about the study, visit www.endtoendo.com or call 1-888-DNA-4-GYN (1-888-362-4496).

Some of the latest research news about endometriosis will appear in our quarterly member publication Endolink.

Endometriosis UK does not currently fund research, but our long term aim is to do so (funds permitting!). Until then, we campaign for more funds to be available for endometriosis research. We also:

bullet point Increasing the dissemination of research outcomes to encourage interest

bullet point Encouraging the best young scientists to enter the field of endometriosis research by raising awareness of the need for research

bullet point Contributing to national and international surveys, the results of which may indicate areas of research need
