Glasgow Support Group

About this group

Join us for an inclusive discussion about all things endometriosis! Our group meetings are accessible both online and in person, giving you the flexibility to join from the comfort of your home or meet us face to face. We take pride in offering various types of gatherings, ranging from formal enclosed support meetings to informal coffee catch-ups and awareness walks.

Our support group meetings provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to come together and share their experiences in a peer-supported environment. Connecting with others who understand the challenges and successes of living with endometriosis can be incredibly beneficial on your health journey.

Since 2012, the Glasgow support group has been an active and caring community. Over the years, our members have organized a diverse range of wellbeing and educational events, such as endometriosis film screenings, drop-in information days, and bake sales. Additionally, we have hosted patient information days featuring speakers from both clinical and traditional medicine practices.

We value your input and interests! If you have any specific topics you'd like us to cover or speakers you'd love to hear from, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Come along and be a part of our welcoming community, where we share, learn, and support each other through our endometriosis journeys.

Looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Like many others, I endured over a decade of pain without knowing the true source, with doctors attributing it to nothing more than a "bad period." It wasn't until eight years of seeking help and complaining about my pain to my sister, who was studying Endometriosis at university, that I first learned about the condition. Another four years passed, and just one month before my 30th birthday, I finally received a diagnosis of Endometriosis through a diagnostic laparoscopy.

After my Endometriosis diagnosis, I knew I wanted to do more. It was a straightforward decision—to be there for others, to support them through their challenges, and to make a positive impact. Becoming a volunteer was my way of taking action.

Helping others and making a difference in their lives has become my goal. If I can ease the burden for even one person, it makes everything I've gone through worth it.

Joining our Endo UK support group in Scotland has been a personal journey for me. Together, we can create a caring and supportive space where everyone feels heard, understood, and less alone in their Endometriosis journey.

Today, the Glasgow support group stands proud as the largest in Scotland, and we warmly invite you to join our community. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and support each other through the challenges of Endometriosis.

Come be a part of our journey, and let's create a supportive and empowering environment for everyone involved.
