I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and adenomyosis at the age of 25 after suffering with heavy and painful periods since the age of 12. I was sick, I fainted and bled through my clothes and underwear. I made numerous trips to the GP and was told this is normal when you are young and that my period would settle when I'm older. Fast forward to now, at the age of 28, I have had 2 laparoscopies, a nerve block procedure, several different hormone injections, the mirena coil and the implant, and to no avail I still struggle with pain and bleeding. I am awaiting my 3rd laparoscopy, and to function I take very strong pain killers daily.

For many many years I have been made to feel that I have exaggerated my period pain, and this has had a huge impact on me, but coming from an Asian background this is very common in my community. I want to break that boundary and let women have a voice and not be afraid to speak up about their periods. Endometriosis is a life changing condition, and it affects our quality of life both mentally and physically.

This is a safe space for women to talk and lean on each other for support. Everyone is welcome, whether it be you have been diagnosed with Endometriosis yourself, you're a family member or someone who just wants to learn more about the condition. Lets work together and empower each other.
